Who built Pluto Detroit? Foreman Construction, WEAREFOREMAN.COM
Pluto has expanded! We’ve built and opened a beautiful, open and expansive new studio in Downtown Detroit. Being in “Corktown Shores,” we are in a growing neighborhood with new restaurants and businesses popping up every month. Being right on the Detroit River with a perfect view of the Ambassador Bridge, we’ll be inspired, creating, brainstorming, and working hard. Here’s what we have in Detroit…
1. Editorial. A Pluto or Spotwelders editor at your service. Boom! Done!
2. Motion Design? Thwap! Done!
3. Sound Design? Yes,of course. Done!
4. CGI / VFX? Be careful what you ask for. You might just get the best CGI team around and a render farm that makes nerds jealous. Done and done.
5. Our Birmingham office hosts even more than this as well as our Digital and Production services.
A lot of people have asked us why.
We didn’t do it to “help” Detroit. We didn’t do it to “support” or “contribute to” Detroit. We did it because Detroit is booming with new business and new blood. New creative is happening right now, and we’re a part of what everyone’s talking about. It is seriously moving like it has never moved before. Being in Detroit is just good business.
The best part is that our Detroit studio is seamlessly integrated into our Birmingham headquarters, expanding our capabilities and allowing clients to work in either studio. With a dedicated connection between the offices, video conferencing, and identical software and hardware, projects and business happens without a hitch.
To celebrate the expansion into Detroit we threw a party. A swingin’, super classy, black and white themed party. 350 of our closest friends and clients showed up to help us celebrate. Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr played some tunes and DJ Frankie Banks handled the music from there. We want to thank everyone who went to the trouble of classing it up for a night to help us kickstart our new space. It was a special night.
We even got some killer press from Curbed! Check it!
And of course, there are pictures…
